The English Premier League says eight individuals have examined constructive in its newest spherical of Covid-19 exams carried out on gamers and employees final week.

The league mentioned on Monday that those that examined constructive will now self-isolate for 10 days.

“The Premier League can as we speak affirm that between Monday 16 November and Sunday 22 November, 1,530 gamers and membership employees have been examined for Covid-19,” the league said in a statement.

A complete of 76 individuals have examined constructive for the virus in 12 rounds of testing this season.

There have been greater than 1.5 million Covid-19 infections and over 55,000 deaths in the UK.
